“I'd like to drive an older Adcom amp with my NR1200. Am I correct that I connect the Preamp Out to the amp's IN jacks? Also, how do I hook up a powered subwoofer to the NR1200? What do I connect the subwoofer cables to? Thanks”

That is correct; the Marantz NR1200 provides a Pre-Out section for connecting an optional external amplifier. Connect the Pre-Out Front Left and Right to the external amplifier. The NR1200 also provided two Subwoofer Pre-outputs for connecting powered subwoofers.
