• Hello and thank you for your question. That is correct, all new units work with 8K gaming systems. For confirmation, DBL check the serial number. Only Marantz models with serial numbers below xxxxxxx70000 are impacted by the HDMI incompatibility issue and require the HDMI adapter to output 4K/120Hz and 8K/60Hz video signals.

• I never try it yet, but I called marantz and gave them the serial number and they told me it's been updated so I don't need a box.
