They sit ON the ear.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Marshall wireless model are on-ear- but in my opinion on-ear is MUCH more comfortable because i HAVE to listen to something whilst i sleep, and the over-ear types tend to make my ears be crushed up on hard pieces that are not cushioned (lol cause if they were, the sound would suck) & the padding that Marshall uses for this model is VERY comfortable- perfect balance of squishy & supportive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They sit on your ear. They are on the smaller side and extremely light, so they’re actually pretty comfortable that way. I was concerned because I’d never had any on-ear headphones before. I got them because I thought they’d be better for exercise walking, being lighter and not as efficient at noise cancelling as my over-ear Sony’s - which is a safety consideration. I was afraid having them on my ears might be a bit annoying, but they’re actually very comfortable.
