• can use RCA cables if you have a pre-amp output or something like that. Can also use speaker wire to another set of inputs.

• If your Yamaha receiver has a subwoofer jack then yes you can hook it up you would need a subwoofer cable long enough to reach from the receiver to the sub. Can't answer geek service question.

• Yes it would plug in via the subwoofer jack on the rear of you receiver using an rca cable from sub to receiver.
