can use RCA cables if you have a pre-amp output or something like that. Can also use speaker wire to another set of inputs.

If your Yamaha receiver has a subwoofer jack then yes you can hook it up you would need a subwoofer cable long enough to reach from the receiver to the sub. Can't answer geek service question.

Yes it would plug in via the subwoofer jack on the rear of you receiver using an rca cable from sub to receiver.
