There will not be a native Series X version. The Xbox One version will be playable on it with additional enhancements.

To add to the other answers, when you have these discs with the Series X upgrade available as part of Smart Delivery - the Xbox Series console HAS to reach out over the internet to activate it, at least the one time. Even if all the content needed to run it in 'Next-Gen Mode' (the higher fps, higher res textures, etc.) are on the disc, it'll still require that initial check-in.

I tried a test by putting my xbox series x in offline mode and disconnected from internet for good measure - and can confirm it did need that check-in on the internet. SO, hopefully we can still play this game in 20 years if Microsoft xbox cloud services aren't around anymore!

It's the save edition for both, just like every other Xbox game. The upgrade is download separately.
