• It is designed to go over a range. Where would you vent the microwave? These units are mounted above a stove and typically have built-in exhaust fans. Most can be vented externally by connecting ductwork through the wall or ceiling. Also, microwave requires a wall bracket. The cabinet does not support all of the weight of a microwave.
