I did wipe out a little splash of spaghetti sauce and it cleaned the same as a non metal interior. I needed a zero clearance microwave as it opens against a wall. This works perfect and looks great!

• A:Answer The way I interpret the instructions is to only use the rack when I have food on it, otherwise it stays out of the microwave. In general you should not operate a microwave unless there is something to heat in it (i.e. on the turntable.)
