I can only suggest something as an owner of this appliance. You may have the option not to install the water line, you can also turn of the ice maker by turning it off on the wall where the ice maker is located. The bin comes out easily. But if you do not have a water line installed there would be no way to have water or ice, I would ask the installer about this option.
