• Yes they call it the 4-blade stainless steel chopper. And so it doesn't show up in the specs online under the normal spot for "hard food disposal." Our blades broke after just a short while owning it causing the drain pump to be inoperable. The tech came and found the blades snapped in half inside the unit. I picked up the blades and found them to be very flimsy. Now 4 months later the dishwasher drain pump failed to operate last night. And I'm guessing the 4-blade chopper broke again... We scrape our dishes before putting into the dishwasher. You would think the blade should be able to handle the job of what's left. Seems like a design flaw / cheap part, which is a shame because otherwise the dishwasher cleans very well, and the 3rd rack design is great.
