- Answer Hi Mars, the water filter for your MSS26C6MFZ is the EDR1XD1. This is also known as a type 1 filter. We have recently changed to the EveryDrop water filter, the older filters were Part number W10295370A Hope this helps,

- Answer Hi cweltz, this Maytag - 25.6 Cu. Ft. Refrigerator does have a need to ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator, allow for ½" (1.27 cm) of space on each side and at the top. Allow for 1" (2.54 cm) of space behind the refrigerator. If your refrigerator has an ice maker, allow extra space at the back for the water line connections. When installing your refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave a 2" (5.08 cm) minimum space on each side (depending on your model) to allow the doors to swing open.

QuestionThe information on the specification page shows a cutout width requirement of 35.4375 inches and a standardized width of 36 inches. My opening for width is only 35 3/4 inches. Will Model MSS26C6MFW fit into a width opening of of 35 3/4 inches?

Questionwhy is there none available in stores to look at in the entire southeast region of the united states. I can't buy one without looking at it in the store first. doesn't make any sense.
