What is the shortest normal cycle of ANY washer these days. Check in the manuals that they have online - some provide cycle times. Had an old school Kenmore agitator in 1988 that used water (was quick w/washers and always was done before the dryer was done-maybe 30 minutes max), 2005 bought an Kenmore HE Kenmore Elite which says a normal cycle took 39 minutes but never did, always took way longer-usually an hour. Now it died and I need a new washer. Very tired of 60 + minutes of washing a load of laundry. Want to go back to 30 minutes or less. Agitator or not! I have always run 3 loads a day with our large family. These HE's take all day long.
