HI NGrimm, For this model the Drain and Spin should not put water into the tub. This cycle uses a spin to shorten drying times for heavy fabrics or special-care items washed by hand. Use this cycle to drain washer after canceling a cycle or completing a cycle after a power failure. The Rinse and spin will add water and rinse the clothes again and then spin. We hope this helps.
