• I live in Florida so it is a definite yes! But I do put it down when I am setting things on it. So if you leave it open for a few hours after the last time you have used it, then you should be fine. Does not have that lip around the edge like a front loader.

• We leave it open for a while just to dry the tub. Otherwise it is closed.
