Will this washer shut off if the load is unbalanced? null

Gene, yes the washer will stop if off balance.

Yes. I've kind of gotten the hang of it since I bought it so it doesn't really happen anymore, but for a while I would go to switch the wash and find it had stopped itself, and I'd have to readjust everything and run a few more spin cycles. It was usually heavier loads, like jeans. Hope this helps.
