• My brandnew top of the line Whirlpool is louder than a lawn mower. It sounds worse than a hurricane. It is ridiculous.

• It's significantly louder than my 13 year-old Whirlpool Duet Front loader. Fortunately, it's in a laundry room with a door so I don't hear it as much.

• Hi midi, this model is offered with an impeller driven wash plate. The sound this washer makes, is very different from a traditional washer with an agitator, as it turns in quarter turns We hope this helps!

• Personally, I don't think it's loud. It makes a "different" sound than a standard "agitator" washer, but I wouldn't call it loud. I've only had it a month, and so far I like it.
