“Has anyone experienced the "smelly washer" with this washer?”

• Hi Mule, We suggest a regular, monthly cleaning cycle be run on all washers. You may need to run a few extra to get the machine back in good shape. As a Best Practice, we suggest you clean your washer every 30 wash cycles with affresh washing machine cleaner. Affresh also has a machine cleaning wipe to keep the exterior looking sharp.

• Haven't experienced a smelly washer but I did read that you need to keep the door open when not being used to prevent it from smelling

• No, not with the machine. I do keep the lid open as recommended and I haven't had it long enough to do a cleaning cycle yet. My LG front loader that I had previously had an odor problem and the front door had to stay opened all the time which was a hassle and why I went back to a top loader.
