Ours did the same thing. We unplugged ours let the power die and plugged it back and and just waited. It went through a bit of a process but after about 15 min of running it unlocked itself. It's been good ever sense.

Let the unit sit unpowered for 2 - 5 minutes and then restore power. You may need to start a cycle, let it run a few minutes and then cancel it.
