“The specs say the washer is 27.5" wide and 27" deep. My door opening to my basement laundry room is 27.5" wide so my question is this: is the depth truly 27" with no protrusions of any type? If so, it would fit thru, but 27.5" width will be tight.”

The specs should read 27.5" deep, 27" wide. I've got the washing machine in my home. It would be 27" X 27" but there is a metal panel on the back of the machine that sticks out 1/2".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The 27" depth seems to correspond only to the body frame of the washer. There are a couple of "panels" attached to the rear frame that protrudes round another 1/2".
