Yes, there is a tray with three separate compartments within the machine. Once you lift the lid, a tray slides out and there's a spot for softener, detergent and 'OXI'. I've used the fabric softener compartment once. It seemed to release the fabric softener almost as soon as I poured it into the tray and shut it. Not sure why they wouldn't have you put the softener directly on the clothes as that's what the tray seemed to do.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The drawer you pull out there is the first one in the drawer to add liquid fabric softener. Second one is for liquid detergent and last in the drawer is if you want to use oxi powder. Make sure they are all he. The oxi is an option.
