“Does anyone's machine make a ratcheting sound during agitation? My friend has this washer and you can hear a click when agitator turns followed by a ratchet sound- mainly with small loads.”

I just purchased this washer. And when trying it out the first time I also noticed this clicking/ratcheting sound. It is VERY noticeable and very annoying. I am wondering if it's normal for this washer or some of us receive a bad unit? I'm contemplating a return/exchange...

This is my 3rd washer over the past 40 years, the first one being a Maytag which was 30 years old when we finally had to replace it with a Kenmore 10 years ago. New technology is impressive and my new Maytag has to be the quietest washing machine yet!
