Is this machine very noisy? on a scale of 1 - 10 null

If our previous model (a Sears purchase, 9 yrs ago), is any guide, this washer is much quieter. If the Sears model was an 8 (loud), this would be a 4. And the auditory cues it gives at start and finish are much better then the loud buzz the old model used as a signal.

This is an old school washer with the new features of today. You hear a bunch of different noises from it locking the lid to it load sensing to how it agitates. I can only compare it to my old Maytag that was probably 15+ years old but I'd give it a 5. In the laundry room with the door closed, you will still hear noises from it agitating but nothing that you won't get used to quickly.

very quiet - I would say maybe a 2 - I am VERY satisfied with it
