• Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Magic Chef plus several other brands are all products owned by the Whirlpool Corporation. Just like Lexus is Toyota or an Acura is a Honda.

• I had the same problem and wanted to get my range at Best Buy so I could put it on my credit card. I got the model number and looked it up on The Maytag site and that gave me all the correct info. Best Buy site is unreliable with descriptions.

• If I remember correctly, the Maytag is made by Whirlpool. Both look nearly identical.
