• Yes, we had a choice when installers asked did we want a right or left opening.

• Yes it can, you have to remove the "skin on the door and flip it over. You also have to remove the plastic plugs that block the holes on the other side. It took me a while to get those plugs out but otherwise a 15 minute job. It can all be done with a Phillips head screwdriver. Make sure you used the plastic plugs o pluf the old holes after you switch over.
