An alphanumeric key was included in the box, no cd. You will be prompted during installation when to enter the code.

We are constantly updating our software, by the time a CD would hit the shelf, it would already be out of date and you would need to download the latest version anyway, we stopped shipping via CD's years ago. This will have a download code with it that you take to https://www.mcafee.com/activate to redeem and begin the installation. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
