The subscription starts when you download. You can buy at any time and the code doesn't expire. You can install when you are ready. If you already have McAfee Antivirus (1 Device) and are waiting for the subscription to end before you install this, you can install at any time and not lose any time on your subscription. It will add a year to your subscription term. But if you are using some other software or are waiting for any other reason, feel free to wait as long as you need.
