“I see that the McAfee Total Protection is on sale now. My subscription expires in January 2020. Is the McAfee that is on sale now okay to use in 2020? How do you know what year you can use this for or does it matter? Is this just used to renew.”

Year doesn’t matter as you can constantly upgrade to the lates

We no longer put years on our software because we constantly update our software and ensure that you are always up-to-date. You can actually buy now while it's on sale and redeem your key. It will extend your subscription by 1 year from it's current expiration - you won't lose any time by renewing early. You don't need to wait for it to expire to renew it. This can be used for either renewals or new purchases. Make sure you go to https://www.mcafee.com/activate to redeem your code and log into the account you have setup with us. It will ask you if you want to "Extend your current subscription" or "Start a new subscription". You should extend your current subscription. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
