That's a great question. This is a transport chair, which has smaller rear wheels than a wheelchair. Both transport and wheelchairs have handles behind the chair designed to be pushed by a caregiver, but wheelchairs also have large rear wheels with handles to allow the person in the chair to maneuver themselves.
