Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd love to answer your question but - the battery only lasts for 3 hours rather than the 28 it is supposed to. Also, we can only hear on them with cable at the moment, not netflix or Amazon Prime. Hope to fix that. I advise you if you buy these to keep the sales receipt because my sis, who actually bought them, threw hers out and now I'm going to have to see if Best Buy can duplicate it for me. But, to answer your original question, my sis sits about 6 to 7 feet from the TV and hears great.
