“This will be for a TV that will be in a cabinet that goes up and down. The antenna can not be on the outside the cabinet. I was thinking about using velcro to stick it to the back of the TV. DO the headphones need clear line of sight to work?”

I have mine plugged into the usb on the back of my tv hung on the wall. It’s tucked back so u do not see it. I have had them for a month and use nightly with no issues. I think you would be ok. I luv these headphones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find that if I leave the living room area and go another room.. It's slightly fragmented in the sound quality. My home isn't big so I assume if I went outside out of line of sight it may not be work very well.

I can roam all over the house with headphones on and remain “on signal.” I have not tried initial signal acquisition From another room. That said, it IS a Bluetooth signal, so probably will work if on the back of the TV.
