No.. you can stream from any device you are connected to. The trick is the source (Apple radio) needs to be “hardwired” to the MEE....and set up to transmit in bluetooth to the receiving device. That means your Bose needs to receive the bluetooth signal from the MEE. I actually use it to Bluetooth transmit from a turn table to my Yamaha amplifier. It works great...good luck
