The headphones require Bluetooth to work and the adapter supplies that if your TV doesn't have that feature. The adapter plugs into your TV with 3.5mm, RCA or TOSLINK Digital Optical cables that come with the adapter. The adapter also requires power via a USB power cord, which is included, but a 110VAC USB adapter is not included. The volume can be turned up to be really loud. The headphones block out a lot of ambient room noise, so the sound from the TV is easier to hear and understand.

Please try again later.My understanding of how it works is that if the TV doesn't have bluetooth you use a cable (such as 3.5mm ) to connect the TVs audio out to the little pod, which is like an external bluetooth. the pod then communicates with your headset. Maybe some models include only the headset but not the pod, in which case of course the headset wouldn't work with a TV that doesn't have bluetooth.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure, the adapter came with the headphones I purchased.. it's enabled with Bluetooth, so I guess it should work with any Bluetooth device.... ask the Geek squad at Best Buy....
