“Can the Memorex Personal CD player play without the headphones. Just purchased and cannot hear the cd on its own.I have the volume up as far as it can go. Must it be charged first and where can buy the ac/dc adapter”

CD player has no built in speaker, so you need a headphones or a portable speaker using a 3.5 jack. It runs in 2 double A battery. You can buya adopter to use only indoor.

You can use the earbuds that came with it to listen to the music or connect your own via AUX port. The CD player is AA battery operated so you don't need to charge it but the AC/DC adapter can be used to replace the batteries.
