You have it, mostly. What it offers is convenience, and rechargeable controller batteries. When you take off the headset, and put it and the controllers down on the dock, they charge without you needing to remember to plug in the charging cable, and turning the headset upside-down if you have the Elite Strip with Battery. It also means you don't need to keep a set of AA batteries nearby, to swap in when they run out mid-gaming session. You get a set place where the headset lives while it isn't being used, and the knowledge that, if you put it back in its place when you are done, it will be ready for you when you pick it back up again. It is up to you to decide whether this is worth the asking price.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It charges your headset and controllers all at the same time. The charging dock comes with two rechargeable batteries for the controllers and charges them wirelessly. Without this dock, you need to charge your headset with the cable and replace the controller batteries every time they wear out. This will definitely save you $$$.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a little overpriced but it does make your charging experience very easy for both your headset and controllers..just place on doc and forget about it…
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes with rechargeable batteries for your hand controllers as well. I was skeptical too, as I didn’t want to make an unnecessary expense. Honestly, I don’t know why this doesn’t come with the meta quest 3 already, but it’s either to cut on the cost of the thing, or sell you on accessories. The meta quest 3 controllers come with regular batteries, which is crazy to me. Bottom line, your meta quest 3 headset will charge wirelessly by placing on the dock, and the provided rechargeable batteries will help out with your controllers. You’ll eventually save on buying batteries, and I guess the stand looks somewhat snazzy. My son loves it, as its easy to dock and undock for immediate use. Charging to 100% so far has been pretty quick. You have a light indicator of orange (charging) and green (fully charge). There is also a chime for each device when docked properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It also comes with rechargeable batteries to be able to charge wirelessly on the dock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It isn’t much more than what you are describing. It has specially sized rechargeable batteries and new snap covers, both for the hand controllers. It has 3 bases in the stand, 2 are for the hand controllers which charge them and the center is for charging the headset. It allows you to easily see the charge levels with leds and keeps the controllers in their left vs right orientation. It is convenient and aesthetically pleasing, while keeping your gear in a “known” configuration or spot/space. It is definitely a “luxury” purchase, but one I actually am glad I bought. To answer your question more directly, no, you are not missing anything ;-)’
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Replaces the controllers regular AA batteries with rechargeable ones and is able to charge them as well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The charging station comes with a set of rechargeable batteries for the controllers saving you money on batteries in the long run. But besides that you’re right that it all it does it charges the headset and controllers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It charges the headset as well as the controllers
