• The original radio will still work in regards to turning on, showing clock and other functions, but the sound will not. The speakers can only have one set of inputs and the wiring harness is designed that the sound will come from the newly installed radio.

• This kit is to use if you can't afford to put back an original stereo with is like 340bucks but yeah it does disable the use of the original stereo but if you correct properly time and light should work

• Yes, well maybe not the kit, but the other stereo with the kit since you can only have 1 functioning at a time. My old radio still displays time, but has no other functionality.
