I’m not sure why. I just hooked it up between two of my audio components with the problematic component placed after the ground loop isolator and it cleared up the buzzing sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does work, I just purchased a BOSS B25N Ground Loop Isolator and hooked it up to the RCA cable going from my mixing board into my stereo. I was getting a bad hum/squeal from my stereo when I was transferring from analog to digital. My computer is grounded and my mixing board and tape machine are not. This solved the problem. FYI: My interface unit is a M-Audio 192/8 and I am recording into Audacity.
