• Yes! Text messages, facebook messages, emails, they all come through as alerts. You can even answer with preset messages or a little keyboard comes up that is, surprisingly, very reactive!

• Yes. It will show the notification with the text message in it. My wife is using it with her iPhone and the notification works just fine.
