If it works it is worth the extra money. Mine worked for 3 months before buttons started going out (I have had normal xbox controllers for years without any issues). If you get lucky and it stops working within 60 days, Best Buy will take it back. Outside of that Microsoft will offer a refurbished (used, wasn't working, they 'repaired' it) but will not replace it with a new item.
