QuestionI use the F-Lock key all day every day, for example, to highlight and cap text which is un-capped. Saves time. Some have pointed out that the F-Lock key doesn't exist on the new ergonomic keyboard. Is there a substitute?

- Answer I AM ANSWERING THIS WITH THE KEY LOCKED. I SEIMPLY PRESSED THE KEY ONCE. TO UNLOCK IT, I pressed it again.

- Answer I don’t see why not, just need an open USB port, the traditional USB A that’s a wide rectangle. Can be on laptop or thru a dock or adapter I’m sure. I use mine on a Dell docking station just fine.

QuestionIs this really a mechanical keyboard? I love the ergonomic keyboard layout but surely miss the mechanical keys which are smoother than membrane any day.

QuestionHas anyone switch from the old Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 to this one? Does it "feel" the same? My 4000 finally gave out. I loved the "shape"- keys and wrist rest. Its the only one I found that was comfortable. Is this one as good?

- Answer I had a 4000 before this. The shape and feel are the same I would say. The main difference is no scroll / volume wheel in the middle.

QuestionAre the keys on this keyboard removable/replaceable? I really like having an ergo keyboard, but they're all boring black and it would be nice to be able to swap the keys out for something in fun colors.

- Answer No illumination at all. If you're comfortable with touch typing you probably won't notice once you get the hang of where the keys are compared to a "normal" / straight keyboard, though.
