I have had five or six keyboards over the course of time. I type 85 words a minute, so my priority is that the keys can recover before I hit the next one. This keyboard does indeed meet those expectations and it is relatively quiet; but not SILENT. If that is what you seek, I am not sure which keyboard you need. It is Erg Dynamic and I had an earlier version of the Microsoft keyboard that was curved more than this one and I liked it better. But I cannot find that one. I tried to use the old one with a Keyboard to USB adaptor, but it didn't recognize WINDOWS 10 . [which I Hate !!! ]. So though they say things improve with technology, perhaps old school is better. Not a bad keyboard for the price and I am happy with it for the present.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is my 3rd Microsoft ergonomics keyboard. The 1st one I took my anger out on it, had it about 10+ years The 2nd one I spilled coffe on, had it about year, I’ve never spilled anything on a keyboard in over 30 years. Trying to more careful with it, wish me luck To answer your question, I consider the keyboard to be pretty quiet, and comfortable to type on. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone. DDM3
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m surprised at what a soft touch and no clicking on this newer version of the keyboard. Try it at a store and see.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same opinion of this keyboard. The 4000 v.0. The keyboard is clunky, its much noisier than the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard I just had to trash (which was a little more curved). ....that keyboard was silent. I loved it but its no longer being manufactured, although you can find refurbished ones on Amazon and other places really cheap, but no new ones. I'm having trouble adjusting to the curve on this one also to the black color. I type 90 wpm and sometimes until the wee hours......I never disturbed anyone in the house using the old keyboard. I loved that one so much that I bought another one to use at work. On this new keyboard, I'm hearing "will you please go to bed" "can you shut the door !" My other keyboard was cream color and I never had to look at the keys....I'm having to look at the keys on this one often....there are more keys than I need and some of them are in different places; also they are not "fluid" like my old one. They're clunky.. There isn't a plethora of ergonomic keyboards.....I'm stuck with the 1.0....but sure wish they would make a light color one. If I had a choice, I would choose the older Microsoft that I had. Not everybody needs the extra 15 or 20 extra keys...….
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not really. Standard key type, not chicklet style or soft touch. There is some sound to the keystrokes. It doesn't bother me, but could see that it might be annoying to some.
