“If I upgrade my current computer, which I do every couple of years, will I run into re-activation problems? I've always has to call MS support to get a product re-activated since the license is for one device. I'm assuming this will still be the same.”

This is your Account page: https://account.microsoft.com/services You need to sign in with the same Microsoft Account used to setup Office for the first time. "Move Office to another computer Uninstall Office from the original computer. On the new computer, sign in to your My Account page and click Install. After you finish installing, you may be asked to activate Office over the phone."
