• Microsoft does not provide any way to 'upgrade' any version of Office. If you download Office 2021 on a computer with Office 2010 already installed you will have two versions of Office on your computer. You will be able to open all your files with your Office 2021 in 'compatibility Mode'. You can convert the file, if you wish by clicking on>File>Info>Convert.

• Make sure you have a good tech guy to handle the migration of data from your backup service. Microsoft customer service & Geek Squad were not very helpful in this process. It was a very difficult data migration for me and it took overall about 1 month. Fortunately I kept the hard disc from my old Dell PC and Carbonite Backup kept my old files. When my tech guy was able to work on my issue, it got fixed. If you use GEEK SQUAD, ensure they send a tech support agent who knows how to connect Outlook Mail to your Email server platform and to perform backup of your Outlook folders. Hope this helps
