You will need to reach out to Microsoft support. They will have to reset it. This version is not able to be installed on multiple PCS

The Windows 7 is not the same as Windows 10 so you would have to purchase the updated one.

Should back up all your files, bit I believe Microsoft keeps records of register software so there should be little problem one clear identity is established.
