“Is Microsoft Home Student 2019 the same as my old Microsoft Office software?”

• I don’t know what your old Office software was, but this version seems to be pretty much the same as I’ve been using for years. Probably some new things added that I never use. It is not the 365 version that you have to subscribe to yearly, which is why I bought it.

• It will have new features but it will be able to read and edit your old files created by older Microsoft Office Software.
