When you go to the Microsoft website to enter your license key, they MAKE you sign up for a Microsoft account. That account holds the license key and is aware you are the owner of Office 2019. When you get your new labtop, go to your Microsoft account and you'll be able to download it from there. That is one good thing about having to sign up for a Microsoft account, even though I'm usually against it.
