Microsoft Office 2021 Home & Home Office are both compatible with Big Sur. It can be purchased outright for use on one machine and Microsoft guarantees support (not necessarily updates) foir the latest three MacOS versions. Microsoft Office 365 also works on Big Sur as it is a subscription service charged monthly or annually and allows installation on up to 5 machines.
