Yes. The Surface RT has a capacitive touch screen, just like the iPad. You can't use Surface Pro's Pen because it is not a capacitive stylus. It is a digital pen. Only the Surface Pro has the digitizer layer on the screen. You can go buy a capacitive stylus/pen at Best Buy, but it won't have an eraser and palm-blocking technology. Hope this helps. :-)
