“Can I utilize office as if I was using it on a pc?”

• Yes, you can. The user interface "skin" looks a little different, but everything's in basically the same place and behaves the same. At purchase, you'll have the "Preview" edition of Microsoft Office Home and Student (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), then after you do Windows Update, you will automatically be upgraded to the full version of Office absolutely free. If you want document creation capability in a tablet, this is the way to go over Android, and most certainly iPad. I am VERY satisfied with the Office experience on my Surface tablet.

Surface RT comes pre-installed with Office Home and Student 2013 RT Preview, which can be upgraded to the full version upon setup. • Yes you can-it's full Office 2013. You can even hook it up to an external monitor and use an external mouse and keyboard. My mom uses it like that most of the time.
