“Can I install my children's educational software on this device? If not, is there any other product you would recommend that is lightweight. It is for a handicapped child to attach to her wheelchair. She operates her laptop now by a switch attached to the USB port. We want something lighter, but with the same functionality. Touch screen is not necessary for us.”

Hello, Keep in mind that the Surface RT runs apps, software and games that are available from the Store. If there is an app available for this software it will run. The Surface Pro embodies the functions of a laptop and is more likely to run the full programs you are talking about. Best regards
