It's a solid state drive - no fan - absolutely silent, except for the click of the keys...

I have used a 13.5 in. base model I5 Intel 620 GPU in a quiet room without any audible sound. I am not sure it has a fan. However, I'll bet an I7 system with GeForce 1060 cranking out 3D games, or simulations or CAD will have a fan that ramps up its speed and blows out a lot of hot air. I know my Z book does.
