It has a USB-C, Micro SD Card and full SD Card slots. Keyboard does close over and protect the screen. I bought a USB-C hub to get HDMI, another USB-C, and 3 conventional USB ports.

The keyboard does close over the screen and acts as a protector. I do recommend getting the keyboard, even though it is a new purchase.
